The Arabic Flagship Program and the Department of Middle Eastern Studies at The University of Texas at Austin are proud to offer the Arabic Summer Institute (ASI), providing an intensive language and culture program for beginning, intermediate, and advanced students of Arabic.

The Cockrell School of Engineering is committed to broadening participation in engineering disciplines among people from populations that have historically been excluded from studying engineering.

The Center for Community Engagement serves as The University of Texas at Austin’s central resource for those interested in volunteerism and service-learning throughout the UT and Austin communities by connecting the resources of the university to the community to meet community priorities.

From energy and the environment to bioengineering and health, Cockrell School researchers are developing technologies and solutions in 10 cross-disciplinary Research Impact Areas.

The Freshman Research Initiative (FRI) gives first-year students the opportunity to initiate and engage in real-world research experience with faculty and graduate students.

GeoFORCE Texas develops the next generation of STEM leadership by identifying young, academically adept 8th graders and taking them on extraordinary in-person and virtual field academies. Students travel throughout the U.S. learning about geologically relevant field sites from research scientists and faculty.

Offers monthly challenges focused on honing computer science skills and engaging women to take action, collaborate, and create with one another.

The Libraries provides geographic information system (GIS) and geospatial data services for university faculty, students and staff across all disciplines and departments. We can help ensure that you have the software, data, technical training, and other resources you might need to successfully carry out any type of geospatial research project.

Our goal is to facilitate geospatial research at the university by helping scholars overcome the technical challenges of working with geographic information in all phases of the research lifecycle.
