City of Austin & UT Austin Pre-Proposal Collaboration Form

The Master Interlocal Agreement (ILA) between the City of Austin and The University of Texas at Austin facilitates research opportunities for City departments to collaborate more easily with university researchers. This form is for current COA Staff and UT Principal Investigators (PIs). The information provided on this form will be used to match City Departments with UT researchers.

Cumbre Kids

Cumbre Kids produce children's STEM podcasts that reach 130,000 Spanish-speaking families. Their programs feature researchers answering questions submitted by children 3-10 years old. Cumbre Kids has worked with the McDonald Observatory at UT Austin, as well as dozens of universities, federal agencies, museums, and more.

Public Interest Technology University Network (PIT-UN)

Public Interest Technology University Network (PIT-UN) is a collaboration of universities and colleges committed to developing curricula, research agendas, and experiential learning programs in public interest technology (PIT). PIT-UN helps advance the field of PIT and bring positive impact to communities around the globe by providing programming and funding for members to grow PIT on their campuses and communities.

Sandia-UT Austin Collaboration

Sandia National Laboratories is a world-class research & development community that delivers on national security missions while advancing the frontiers of science and engineering. The University of Texas at Austin works with Sandia to solve big problems, sustain and engage human capital, and accelerate adoption of new technology. The research partnership allows UT faculty, researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and students the opportunity to collaborate with Sandia researchers and leverage Sandia capabilities.

Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) Education and Outreach

The Education and Outreach Directorate at the Texas Advanced Computing Center provides K-20 programming to address 21st-century workforce development needs. This includes STEM summer camps for middle school and high school students, research experiences for undergraduate students and educators, fellowships, internships, and public outreach.

UIDP - Strengthening University-Industry Partnerships

A solutions-oriented organization where members identify issues impacting university-industry (U-I) relations and opportunities to develop new approaches to working together. UT Austin is a member of UIDP and anyone at UT can participate and access resources on external engagement topics: research administration, sponsored research contracting, workforce development, corporate engagement
