The Center for Community Engagement serves as The University of Texas at Austin’s central resource for those interested in volunteerism and service-learning throughout the UT and Austin communities by connecting the resources of the university to the community to meet community priorities.

Girl Day at UT Austin

STEM Girl Day at UT Austin is a FREE event for K-8th grade students and their families, educators, and other adults. Presented by Women in STEM (WiSTEM) in the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement at The University of Texas at Austin, UT Austin hosts the largest Girl Day program of its kind in the world! (PK-8 students)

Peers for Pr!de

Peers for Pride (PfP) is a peer facilitation program of the Gender and Sexuality Center. The mission of the Gender and Sexuality Center (GSC) is to provide opportunities for all members of the UT Austin community to explore, organize, and promote learning around issues of gender and sexuality. The center also facilitates a greater responsiveness to the needs of women and the LGBTQIA+ communities through education, outreach, and advocacy.

The Longhorn Center for School Partnerships (LCSP)

A national model for integrating diversity and community engagement into the core mission of a university. The division focuses on four core pillars: campus culture, community engagement, education pipeline, and research.

WEatUT and CREATEatUT summer camps

Women in STEM (WiSTEM) summer camps and academies provide high school students with the opportunity to explore STEM career paths, gain hands-on STEM experiences, connect with STEM role models, and experience an interactive overview of STEM majors offered at UT Austin. (9-12 students)
