K-12 STEM Collaborative

The Collaborative engages the K-12 community in meaningful educational experiences that have a profound impact, empowering participants to pursue STEM education at the primary, secondary, and university levels. It also builds partnerships with industry and the community to provide Texas students with STEM opportunities that address issues of disparity and diversity in STEM fields and the growing need for STEM professionals. The Collaborative includes 57 organizations across the University that reach students as early as possible, overcoming academic, social, and/or economic challenges to bridge their world with the world of engineering and computational science. (PK-12 students and teachers)

Middle School Shadow a Scientist

This summer program pairs a group of two Middle School students with a Research Scientist at the University of Texas for a two hour tour of the scientist‚ lab and experiments in progress. (6-8 students)

UTeach Institute

UTeach Institute is a national network of colleges and universities working together to improve STEM teaching and learning in the U.S.. UTeach employs a comprehensive approach to supporting implementation that is aligned with recommendations from the research literature on fidelity of implementation and program replication and expansion.
