GeoForce Texas

GeoFORCE Texas develops the next generation of STEM leadership by identifying young, academically adept 8th graders and taking them on extraordinary in-person and virtual field academies. Students travel throughout the U.S. learning about geologically relevant field sites from research scientists and faculty.

Girl Day at UT Austin

STEM Girl Day at UT Austin is a FREE event for K-8th grade students and their families, educators, and other adults. Presented by Women in STEM (WiSTEM) in the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement at The University of Texas at Austin, UT Austin hosts the largest Girl Day program of its kind in the world! Hot Science-Cool Talks

This nationally recognized series allows leading researchers from The University of Texas and other prominent universities to share their passion about science, technology, engineering and math with the general public. Events are held six times a year (on-campus or virtually). Here’s a list of past participants.

K-12 STEM Collaborative

The Collaborative engages the K-12 community in meaningful educational experiences that have a profound impact, empowering participants to pursue STEM education at the primary, secondary, and university levels. It also builds partnerships with industry and the community to provide Texas students with STEM opportunities that address issues of disparity and diversity in STEM fields and the growing need for STEM professionals. The Collaborative includes 57 organizations across the University that reach students as early as possible, overcoming academic, social, and/or economic challenges to bridge their world with the world of engineering and computational science. Living Learning Community

Living Learning Community (LLC) in Kinsolving. WiSTEM has a long history and tradition of successfully serving students in their first year of living on campus.

Middle School Shadow a Scientist

This summer program pairs a group of two Middle School students with a Research Scientist at the University of Texas for a two hour tour of the scientist‚ lab and experiments in progress. (6-8 students)
