The mission of the RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service is to prepare the next generation of nonprofit and philanthropic leaders. Through education and research, the RGK Center builds skills, generates new knowledge and collaborates with nonprofit organizations to inform policymakers and practitioners who have a passion for caring and resilient communities.

Sandia-UT Austin Collaboration

Sandia National Laboratories is a world-class research & development community that delivers on national security missions while advancing the frontiers of science and engineering. The University of Texas at Austin works with Sandia to solve big problems, sustain and engage human capital, and accelerate adoption of new technology. The research partnership allows UT faculty, researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and students the opportunity to collaborate with Sandia researchers and leverage Sandia capabilities.

Shadow a Scientist

This summer program pairs 2-4 students with a Freshmen Research Initiative Research Stream for a unique two-hour tour of a real scientific laboratory.

STEM Girl Day at UT Austin

UT Austin’s national award-winning STEM Girl Day is a FREE event, presented by Women in STEM, and gives K-8th grade students and their families, educators, and other adults a chance to explore STEM through grade-appropriate, hands-on activities hosted by scientists, engineers, astronomers, mathematicians and other STEM enthusiasts from student organizations, research centers, corporate partners and community organizations.

Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) Education and Outreach

The Education and Outreach Directorate at the Texas Advanced Computing Center provides K-20 programming to address 21st-century workforce development needs. This includes STEM summer camps for middle school and high school students, research experiences for undergraduate students and educators, fellowships, internships, and public outreach.

UIDP - Strengthening University-Industry Partnerships

A solutions-oriented organization where members identify issues impacting university-industry (U-I) relations and opportunities to develop new approaches to working together. UT Austin is a member of UIDP and anyone at UT can participate and access resources on external engagement topics: research administration, sponsored research contracting, workforce development, corporate engagement

Women in STEM Summer Camps and Academies

Women in STEM (WiSTEM) on-campus summer camps and virtual academies provide rising 10th through 12th-grade high school students with the opportunity to explore STEM college majors and career paths, gain hands-on STEM experiences and STEM career skills, connect with STEM role models, and learn about university resources and the admissions process.
